Welcome to the Microsite for Derby City Council corporate management team recruitment. I am pleased that you have taken an interest in our leadership opportunities and the challenges of working in a high-performing and successful unitary authority.

Derby City Council has been on an exciting journey of transformation. We are proud of our success to date but like many local authorities we face many more challenges in the months and years to come.

Following a period of time spent focusing on ensuring a planned approach and future stability for the City, we are now looking for inspiring leaders to join us and take us on to the next phase, with further innovation and the continuation of excellent relationships with all of our partners to shape Derby's future.

Our new Chief Executive and Strategic Director of Resources will both work to ensure that we are equipped in the best way possible to meet the present and future needs of our customers, to provide services for our ever changing city and to make Derby an even better place to live and work.

As part of our corporate management team, both these positions will play a key role in working with Members to shape the future vision and direction for the city and the Council.

You will be able to evidence a successful track record, notable achievements and have the leadership skills that will establish your credibility together with an exceptional understanding of the challenges and changing roles of local authorities and an ability to develop innovative delivery models for the future in partnership with others.

If you would like to be part of our exciting journey of transformation and you have the skills and experience to help us deliver the pledges we have promised to all of our communities, I look forward to receiving your application.

Cllr Ranjit Banwait,
Leader of Derby City Council
